Chris Poydenis, born in 1982 in Greenwich, Connecticut, is an American model.
Poydenis graduated from Villanova University where he played football and received a degree in Political Science.
Poydenis was first discovered by a modeling agent named Steve Wimbley on Spring Break his senior year of college. At the time, he was playing football, drinking beer, and having a great time and was not ready yet to begin a career. Steve asked him to call him when he was done with college. When he graduated, he called him up and he immediatley booked him for "Cosmopolitan Magazine."
Poydenis quickly got signed with Elite Models Management and before long, he was working regularly, appearing in advertising campaigns from over a dozen different companies including "Speedo," "Perry Ellis," "Park & Ronen," "Machine Clothing," "Bacardi," and "Absolute Vodka," just to name a few.
With the wind at his back, Poydenis ventured to Hong Kong, Mexico, Fiji, and many other places where the international fashion community warmly accepted him. He's been in a few television shows and became SAG eligible due to his lead role in a Honda Accord Commercial in 2007. His first runway was at the Raleigh Hotel in South Beach.
Besides modeling, Poydenis also dreams to be an actor. If he could emulate any actors career it would be along the lines of Brad Pitt or Luke Wilson. His favorite movies are The Royal Tenebaums, Fight Club, Bottle Rocket, and Snatch.
